As a parent who has had children in the school system for almost twenty years, I understand, on a personal level, the importance of a strong community and school system. As a professional in the business world, I understand the importance of maintaining a community’s investment in its property values and small town businesses. And, as a working parent, I understand the hard balance of maintaining high value while keeping costs under control.
I have many years’ experience dealing with the public. I am also very familiar with the workings of our school system. As a school board member I understand the unique needs of our school system and of our community. An example, being the first in our school system to be part of teacher negotiations, which helped negotiations to finish more smoothly and in a positive light for the school system and community.
More importantly, I know that I can be an effective representative within our community, too. I helped coach a 10 to 11 year old boy’s baseball team, when they had no one else to step up and help out. While part
